PACHAI MALAI

    Pachai malai is a hill station in tiruchy district.It's a place that has to be safeguarded from the intrusion of we urbanpeople. A hill station out of thoughts. The visit there took me miles back seeing the life out there. The way of life that exists took me years back...

   With no much Intrusion of modern technologies the lifestyle there seems to be something extraordinary which we can even never dream of. The calm polite air that exists throughout the hills without pollution, no much machined vehicles, people busy with their farm work alone never bothered of what goes around.

   Buildings were rare to be seen, People living in community of villages that were located at far distances from each other surrounded by acres of farm lands and greenery and nothing else.

   The state of the hill is that there was hardly a tea shop for us to stop for a while.. it was almost a 60 km travel over the hill and only that we were able to see were paddy fields and shades of cashew trees and few other cultivations.

   I have a feel that the name of the hills actually was derived from the look of it. The system of agriculture was so pure that the fields were manually ploughed with bullocks and the entire family was engaged in getting their own fields ready for the plantations..

Second Anniversary

Nov 14 Tree plantation campaign

ECO-WING

         Along with the plantation campaign, RCT is proud to announce the launch of its ECO-WING; this wing will be actively involved in all kinds of environmental related activities. The wing will primarily focus on students and youths as they are the ones who might suffer from the nature’s revenge. The wing is planned to regularly provide guest lectures, awareness programs and field activities. Anyone interested can become a member and join hands to make this movement successful.

Childrens day '10

        This years children day  was celebrated in a great manner dedicating the day to the society by Planting trees. It was really a great success and also was helpful to the students. and also a new wing named ECO-WING was inaugurated.

       First of all I should really thank Mr. Gupta and his family members for their guidance and support. Secondly, thanks to RAASE team and the students from N.P.S residential school and VIVEKA school and also should thank the weather for being kind to us.

      The activity was inaugurated jointly by the head of N.P.S trust and the chairman of VIVEKA schools by planting the First tree. Then students from N.P.S and VIVEKA school were paired and made to plant tree a each.

       The trees that were planted were Teak, Pungan, Neem and Vaagai. These are the traditional names.

       The day was helpful to the students by giving them knowledge on the importance of trees and also was helpful for them to actively participate in such social activities.


        The day was ended in a great manner hoping to create a better society...
